Terms and Conditions for Plums Tail Wag Inn Pet Care Services
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all pet care services provided by Plums Tail Wag Inn (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) to pet owners (“You,” “Your,” “Owner”). By using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Scope of Services
These Terms apply to all services provided by Plums Tail Wag Inn, including but not limited to:
Wedding Pet Chaperone
• Dog Boarding
• Dog Daycare
• Dog Walking
• Pet Transport
• Any Other Pet-Related Services
Plums Paws On Call
Tail Wag Inn Taxis
Wag & Wash
By booking any of our services, you agree to all Terms outlined below.
2. Vaccination, Microchipping & Flea/Tick Prevention
• Vaccinations:
• All dogs must be up to date with core vaccinations, including Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis (DHP & L4), and Kennel Cough (Bordetella Bronchiseptica) if applicable. Proof of vaccination must be provided before boarding or daycare services.
• Vaccinations must have been administered at least 14 days before the start of any service.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry to any pet without valid proof of vaccination.
• Microchipping:
• As per UK law (Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2015), all dogs must be microchipped and registered to the owner’s current address before using Our services.
• Owners must provide accurate microchip information, and We are not responsible for any incorrect details held on the microchip database.
• Flea, Tick & Worm Prevention:
• All pets must be treated for fleas, ticks, and worms before attending boarding, daycare, or walking services.
• If a pet is found to have fleas or ticks while in Our care, we will administer appropriate treatment at the owner’s expense. A cleaning and treatment fee will also be charged.
• If a pet has an active flea or tick infestation upon arrival, we may refuse service without refund.
3. Owner’s Responsibility and Liability
• You affirm that all information provided about your pet (including but not limited to health, temperament, training, and behaviour) is true and accurate.
• If your pet exhibits behaviour inconsistent with the information you have provided (e.g., aggression, excessive barking, lack of house training, separation anxiety, or destructive behaviour), you accept full responsibility for any consequences, including additional charges or early termination of the service.
• We accept no liability for any damage, injury, or incident caused by your pet during any of our services. Any damage to our property, third parties, or other animals due to your pet’s actions is solely your responsibility.
4. House Training and Cleaning Fees (Boarding & Daycare)
• You confirm that your pet is house trained unless otherwise disclosed prior to booking.
• If your pet urinates or defecates indoors beyond occasional accidents, a cleaning fee will be charged per occurrence.
• If excessive accidents occur, we reserve the right to request immediate collection of Your pet without refund.
5. Aggression and Behavioural Issues
• You confirm that your pet has never shown aggression toward humans or other animals.
• If your pet bites or injures any person or animal while in our care or during our services, you accept full responsibility for all medical, legal, and financial consequences. We accept no liability in such cases.
• If your pet displays aggression, we may request immediate collection without refund and refuse future bookings.
6. Off-Lead Walking & Recall Liability (Dog Walking & Outdoor Activities)
• If you request that your dog be exercised off-lead, you accept full responsibility for any consequences, including but not limited to loss, injury, or death of your dog.
• If your dog runs away while off-lead, you accept full responsibility for recovery efforts. Any additional costs (including but not limited to advertising, search efforts, or professional recovery services) are your responsibility.
• If your dog does not have reliable recall, we will keep them on a lead for their safety.
7. Veterinary Care & Emergencies
• In the event that your pet requires veterinary attention during any of our services, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. If you are unavailable, we will proceed with veterinary treatment as necessary.
• All veterinary costs, including transportation, consultation, treatment, and medication, are fully your responsibility.
• You agree to reimburse us for any veterinary expenses incurred on behalf of your pet.
8. Abandonment & Failure to Collect (Boarding & Daycare)
• If you fail to collect your pet at the agreed time without prior arrangement, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you.
• If collection does not occur within 48 hours and contact hasn’t been made to arrange payment for the additional services, we reserve the right to rehome or surrender your pet to a rescue or relevant authority. You will remain liable for all outstanding fees.
9. Cancellations, Refunds & Early Collection
Cancellation Policy:
• Cancellations made 30 or more days before the booking date will receive a 50% refund of the deposit paid.
• Cancellations made between 15 and 29 days before the booking date will receive a 50% refund of the full amount paid.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking date are non-refundable.
Payment Terms:
• For bookings made more than 30 days in advance, a 50 % deposit will need to be made to secure the booking. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to the dates booked.
• For bookings made less than 30 days in advance, the full balance needs to be made to secure the booking.
Failure to comply with the payment terms may result in the cancellation of the booking.
• If you collect your pet earlier than the agreed booking period, no refunds.
